Classic Cover Jalopy Dust Up, Waihi Beach Dirt Track, Bay of Plenty, January 6, 2024.

There were plenty of thrills and spills when close to 40 old-school hot rods (including a couple of pre ‘72s) took to the track, along with some great racing from the Auckland Vintage Speedway Club, Historic Stock Car Club and Waihi Beach Dirt Track Club. The weather was perfect, and the crowd was the biggest in the event’s 15 years.
